If you’ve ever felt compelled to stop and smell the sweet scent of a rose in the spring or commented on the perfectness of the pine fragrance during the holidays, it likely won’t come as much of a surprise that scents are seasonal. With many of our customers currently selling their soaps at summer Farmer’s Markets and other seasonal venues, we thought now would be the perfect time to highlight our most popular scents during the summer and early fall months.
We make 15 different varieties of organic bar soap that our customers know and love. From Blood Orange Bergamot to Oatmeal Spice and Patchouli, we have customers who are loyal to each and every one. Whether you are just getting started with your soap business and are curious about what might sell the best during the warmer months or a seasoned seller who wants an insight into what our most popular options this time of year are, here’s a look at this summer and last summer’s favorite scents.
Summer 2021
So far during the 2021 summer, customers have been loving the bright, floral, and herbal blends. Here are the top scents for our 4-oz bars:
Summer & Fall 2020
These trends are similar to what we saw last year, although in summer and early fall of 2020, customers had more of a preference for the Black Tea Tree over the Lemongrass Tea.
Singling out the fall of 2020 looks similar, with Lavender yet again taking the top spot in the rankings.In general, these scent trends follow spike in lavender-related searches during the summer months, as can be seen in this Google Trends chart.
As you can see, even though the popularity rank varies slightly, overall the scents of fall and early summer are mostly constant. As the weather quickly begins to change (especially around our home in northwestern Montana), the aroma in our warehouse shifts as well. Before we know it, we will be shipping out more Forest Tonic, Blood Orange Bergamot, and Oatmeal Spice!

Our Lavender bar is scented with plenty of pure lavender and lavandin essential oils, natural relaxants that contribute to an overall calming experience. It’s earthy and floral all at once. There are a lot of lavender soaps out there, but this one is perfect and has 17 years of refinement and perfection behind it.
A blend of pure mint essential oils combines with organic peppermint leaf to create this invigorating soap. We added menthol for an extra zing of peppermint. Great for the morning shower or any time you and your customers need refreshing.
This is a rich, moisturizing bar. We’ve loaded it with a perfect balance of shea butter, honey, and finely ground oatmeal to fit all skin types. As an unscented bar, it will sell very well with your sensitive skin customers. This is pure soap with some extras, extra nourishing, extra cleaning, extra invigorating.
